Whitney Houston...

another innovator and creative genuis who joins the rank of those gone too soon.  At 48 years young, Whitney Houston has left us. Her voice was the purest female vocal of our generation.  Now, she too is gone.  Is there a pact, a contract that our super talented young people must make, a promise to never live beyond the age of 50 in order to reach the pentacle?  What is going on?  If this continues, we will soon be in total darkness.  The bright lights of creativite genuis are systematically being shut down.  Are we to believe that this is an occupational hazard, that in order to thrive, reach the top, one must first allow themselves to become subjected to “alleged” drug use and be driven to an early death because of it?  Our brightest shining stars are becoming headline news over the information highways in the most horrendous of ways.

I don’t know how to accept this latest news.  Whitney was looking wonderful, working on a new production of the movie Sparkle, apparently taking better care of herself.  And now, just like Michael Jackson who aced This Is It, she’s gone.  Poof.  No more.  It makes me wonder, suspicious even, that there is something awry in the industry.  If there are as many drug addicted people in the business as the media would have us believe, then just how and why are they becoming as such?  I cannot believe that every one of them just took it unto themselves to go the drug route without some coercion or some assistance, possibly even unaware.  Surely a life style of glamour and fame is not a preresiquite to killing onesself with the the aid of drugs.  But it appears that the media would like for us to think that way and thereby shrug it off as to be expected and/or accepted, sooner than later.  I just don’t have a good feeling about all this death by numbers.  Somethings feels quite off and sleazy about it.  Kind of underworldish. I do so pray that this death too will be placed under close scrutiny and that an investigation will ensue.  Just like Michael Jackson, I don’t believe that drugs ingested by choice, killed Ms. Houston.  I don’t believe that a bullet by his own hands killed Peter Lopez.  I don’t believe a lot of stuff I’m being spoonfed these days.  It’s too much and too many.

Dear Whitney, may you forever rest in peace.  You will be in the company of angels with the greatest choir in which to impart your impeccable voice for all eternity.  Close your eyes and open your hearts and you will hear the voices in heaven singing in perfect harmony?

To your daughter, your mother, your family and your friends, and yes Bobby Brown, I pray that God will give them strength and comfort in their time of sorrow.  There will certainy be trying times ahead but God will hold you up if you lean on him.  This is such sad news today.  But what is even sadder is that we know unfortunately from much experience that the worse is probably still yet to come.  When our beloved heros  have given all they had to give, even life, death is still not enough to satisfy  the greed and insatiable hunger of tabloid trash.  They can make life for a grieving family a living hell.  I pray they will allow the family time to grieve.  I pray that this trend will end.  It must.  Look at all we have lost.  What more can they give?

The Angel Who Fell to Earth & Flew Away

I’ll ALWAYS LOVE YOU.  ALWAYS.  NITE WORLD.   PEACE AND LOVE BE WITH YOU.

Should I fall behind, Michael, Wait for me

As we come upon the anniversary date of an angel’s passing, the first of 2012, this is to be my final entry here.  I have loved Michael from afar and will love him always.  Life is fleeting, and love as free as the air that we breathe.  Time dictates that everything that begins, be it good or bad, must also end.  So as I leave dear Michael,  these are my feelings, as found in the words of this song…

Everyone dreams…
But we know what this world can do…

There’s a beautiful river
in the valley ahead….

shoud we lose each other
in the shadow of the evenings’ tree…
I will wait for you
should I fall behind
wait for me...

And as we’re walking
Our hands should slip free
I will wait for you
Should I fall behind...
Wait for me

Blessed are the peacemakers, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Save a place for me, sweet angel, save a place for me.

How could an angel break my heart?

By leaving me and never having said goodbye.  Remember the hunting melody to this Toni Braxton song and the memorable chorus:

How could an angel break my heart
Why didn't he catch my falling star
I wish I didn't wish so hard
Maybe I wished our love apart
How could an angel break my heart

Simply beautiful and really heartbreaking.  This is how I feel now without Michael Jackson’s energy being released into the atmosphere.  To this same melody, I have written my own words describing as best I can how I feel most days knowing that Michael Jackson is physically gone away.

I close my eyes and all I see
is his eyes staring back at me
I try to keep the tears at bay
but they start falling anyway

I try to tell myself that I
must let it go and so I try
but all the pain is just too real
and nothing changes how I feel

Why did an angel break my heart...

I see his pictures on my wall
and to my knees I gently fall
and pray to God to heal my heart
and once again the teardrops start

I still cannot believe he’s gone
and that he’s never coming home
and that his children will grow old
with only memories to behold

Why did an angel break my heart
How could the world tear him apart
How could they stare into those eyes
and still not realize
that he was simply love
no ego, no disguise
that he had more to give the world
but they listened to the lies
and he’s no more…

I try to make sense of it all
how we must heed the Master’s call
and nothing that we do or say
changes the hand of fate that day

I’d give my life so he could be
sharing love unselfishly
I’d gladly change the history
so once again the world would see
him smile...

And all that happened on that day
would simply fade, just go away
and with us he would always stay
come what may
forever and..
a day…

How could an ANGEL break my heart
we should have caught his falling star
there’d be no crying eyes to dry
Heavenly Father, please tell me why
from us our angel had to part
How could an angel break my heart
